Rieju RS3 50cc

OK not a classic two stroke sighting, but. Surprise 2 stroke sighting.

I saw an Rieju RS3 50cc in Asda car park the other day. Heard the unmistakeable two stroke noise as it passed me. What I thought was odd is it was a 63 plate.

Had a nose at it as it had parked up by the time I got parked.

Thought only exotic two strokes were made these days. I guess only being a 50cc they can meet emissions laws?

Sounds like Yamaha have a hand in the engine too?

A lad I went to college with had a Rieju he rode it in the wet for a while and all the electric's went on it and he needed a whole new wiring loom for it but could not get the part.
