Guys, is it possible for a stator to run a 31k PV engine ok but not charge the battery?
I've tested the white wires and coming back with 1.2 ohms which obviously is low but I tested my other 31k that's fine and that reads the same so I assume it's just my cheap meter reading low...

Yes
Cdi source coils and charging coils are separate so can easily have one set working and one set not
Usually the voltage regulator is the first port of call or the plug with the 3 white wires is fried

Ignitech doesn't use the source coils anyway, just the pick up
You can check the voltage on the 3 white wires

No, not 12v
It is unregulated and unrectified so will be AC and a lot higher
Figures should be in the manual for voltage at specific revs
