If you wanted to really complete the 1980s look to go with the RD, what would you need? I saw an old coal board donkey jacket for sale online, now that with a plain coloured scratched up Nolan or FM helmet would get the full look going. Anyone have any ideas what might complete the look? Funny answers appreciated Andy.

That jacket has to be accompanied by a pair of oily jeans and some converse all stars for that true 80s look.

Ray Racing boots, any sort of clothing depending on how much bottle you have to wear it... the only stipulation being, it must give zero crash protection and melt on sliding up the road leaving a mixture of melted nylon, burns and gravel rash... Dont forget 20 No6 and a Zippo lighter in the pocket of the totally unsuitable clothing (running premix or leaded 4 star...depends on your ride) I'd defo wear the NCB jacket in homage to the people who were issued with them...but prefer it if it had NUM on the back.....

If its raining, a pair of yellow oil skins and wellies with fisherman's socks curled over the top, O yeah, now that's true 80s style.

Im not sure if it was a local thing, but we all used to have cut off faded denim jackets with badges on, over a leather jacket.

Converse All Stars, skinny jeans, black leather jacket adorned with patches and a Simpson Bandit. In other words, exactly what I wear to this day. And yes, a Zippo!

If you were really hard core ie rode in all weathers...silk gloves to go under your regular gloves. They had no effect whatsoever. I recall one winter ride on the A30 to Camberley and back. I had no sensation in my fingers or lower extremities. My genitalia was non-existent. But they were great days!

Love the jacket, maybe it had some Rainbow and Gillan patches on the back. The white rad grille , where have they all gone eh? Brilliant Andy
