I did do a search on here before posting this but couldn't find what I wanted so forgive me if this has been asked a thousand times already but any tips for adjusting the pilot air screw on the r/h carb? I am struggling to do this in the garage so doing it roadside with a warm engine seems a real challenge. Is there any technique or special tool that may work well?

Buy a long reach screw driver. Even then it's a faff.

Flatten the end of a metal coat hanger, you can then bend it to suit works perfectly, not my idea I pinched off someone.

Thanks guys, that's helpful. I did manage to check my base setting in the garage with a long thin screwdriver but didn't see that as a viable roadside tool in case I get stopped! I have plenty of spare coat hangers so will make a copy of Jessy's tool and give that a go. David

I made a T handle screw driver from a bit of st st filler wire (Tig welding wire) flattened the end out ,bit like the coat hanger idea ! It's perfect it bends to ,I keep it under my seat on the air cooled 👍👍
