ypvs CDI unit correct one ?

i have a 350ypvs which i am finished building but my question is if i suspect the CDI unit not to be correct to the bike , not original from new , will this matter to the running of the bike and 

if so how do i find out what should be fitted ?

The maps vary a little but not to make it not run correct.

I'd be more concerned it is wired correctly for the conversion or matched to the flywheel

thanks for the reply's.......so with the information you guy's have given me and pointed out it's clear now i have the correct cdi fitted for my year ypvs ..... bike started first kick with no issues and 

hoping it stays that way on the shakedown ride soon
