All the best for 2022 Boys and Girls.
After some guidance on what you would place a realistic price/valuation on a Suzuki X7 1979 the bike is all there but has been stripped so basically a full build is required.
The frame has been powder coated and the engine is complete however the barrels are off
Will try and put some photos up was after a ball park fair price as it would be a good build for someone I just don't have the time to finish it

is it yours and do you have V5 as that will make a difference to price but we all know that ebay will show what it is worth (but probably a bit of the usual aggro that goes with it)

Hi mate Hope you are well Restored X7's seem to get advertised for big money - certainly the same territory as Lc's and aircooled Rd's in standard trim. Not sure how many sell for those prices, but you are hard pushed to find them less than 5k. Having said that, a mate of mine sold 2 last year that were nice, and one was just over 4k, the other just under, but I think he sold them too cheap going by the market at the time. I guess resto costs will mirror an ac's (2 stroke twin cylinder with lots of metal parts and chrome), so given the cost of restoration, and depending on exactly what needs doing, I would imagine a complete basket case would start around 3k maybe ? I could be miles out, but there is nothing decent, project wise, for less than that it seems. I would ask Russpuss, as he is into them, but I see he has not been on here in over 3 months ?? Dusty

Dusty yes all good my end mate, been a busy time for me upto Christmas lets hope 2022 is a good year The bike is a V reg basically it was complete then stripped for a full rebuild the frame and swing arm + some small bits have been powder coated so its a start lol The bottom end is complete on the engine but the engine number is broken off usual thing in the day when a chain snaps, however I have a set of good cases and was going to swop them over once I started on the engine Prices seem to be going up quite a bit on restored bikes, but you know me just after a fair price for it and it is a project for someone to do. Its a bit like the LC250 i sold a while back hence asking what's a realistic price lol Thanks for the input and keep safe mate Alan

Probably worth £500 on an RD forum, and £5,000 on an X7 forum! GLWTS.

The X7's are not quite up to the value of LC's, so bear that in mind. Price is also affected by condition of the parts. £1500 to £3500 is a good range to look at. If it needs, paint, crank, rebores, chrome and zinc plating, then that will lower the price.
