I also like the look of that. Whats it off? Could be a good source for other specials?

I also like the look of that. Whats it off? Could be a good source for other specials? Hi JonW, are you referencing the chain guard? If so it is a modified 2004/05 CBR 125 part, I trimmed it down to a size I liked and leaving 2 mounting lugs ready to fit to the home made brackets. I could have left a bit more meat on the side to hide the top chain run but I like the open look of a nice gold chain I Hope this helps.

Hi All, Small update, Stripped and cleaned carbs and put in 195 jets, EBC fibre reads and fitted new powervalve collar (in between cylinder heads). The old collar had worn to the point where the right valve hardly moved, now all good and set up using the finger up the port method, TBH the hole still aligned on the PV pulley. Fitted the pipes. Hopefully next weekend will be fire up and balancing the carbs. Currently making some spigot tubes to go into the balance holes on the inlet rubbers so I can attached the carbtune kit. I balanced a set of carbs once using the two holes from the balance tube. It worked well but when I reffited the balance tube and started it idle was over 2000 rpm. Just a heads up.

Interesting, do you think the balance tube works to offset the carbs flaws when connect together? I was sort of hoping the isolation from each other would help to balance them and the engine. My method was to slacken the throttle cables right off, adjust the tick over screws until the carbtune showed both identical. Then take all the slack out of the top throttle cable adjuster until its around 2k rpm, then adjust the individual carb cable until again the carbtune is reading the same for both side, then slacken the top cable off until a couple of mm slack is felt hoping it sits back to the tick over speed.......does this method seem any good or is there a better method?

Iβve used these to balance my carbs, seem to work pretty good. You can get the adapter/spigots off eBay.

So you use the balance tube ports with success? I have the carbtune column gauge set that seem to work well on all the 4 stroke 4s I have.

I got the idea off this guy, I think if it was just std carbs then I would just use a drill bit and the windows.

Great. Any idea what size barbed spigots you used?
Think I'll have a go at this with my pwks.
