I bought an LC2 earlier this year, the brakes were siezed when i got it. So i have stripped and powder coated them, fitted new seals and pistons. Just trying to bleed the rear now. I think thats all the air out of them but the pistons aint moving. It's not LC2 calipers on the bike think its F2 calipers, in fact it looks like a front caliper on the rear! Anyone know if this could be my problem?

If they worked before they seized they should work after the rebuild. Do you have pressure at the pedal, if not there may still be air in the system. Did you rebuild the master cylinder, this may be shot.

Rears are the easiest as they have the shortest pipe and no splitter, check the seals on the master cylinder, even a small nick in one of these will stop any pressure, but should still allow the piston to move. I assume that the fluid ways in the caliper were blown out after being powder coated? Also look at the 2 seals in between the 2 caliper halves.

hi nizzy, a trick ive used on some difficult to blead bikes is to get a large syringe and transparent pipe that fits tight on the blead nipple and push the fluid `BACKWARDS´up the system .open the blead nipple just enough to let the fluid in and slowly push till it comes out at the top.

Open bleed nipple, put finger over, press pedal. If fluid squirts out, its caliper

Thanks for the tips. Got it sorted. I stripped and rebuild the caliper again, and worked the pistons in and out with compressed air. Spent hours and hours on it! They are working pretty good now. Just the front to do now...
