Again a simple thread. What did you nearly buy but didn’t and regretted not buying. Mine was a Harris magnum 2 it was painted purple with a blue stripe??? And when I had the money I nearly bought a Bimota Hb3, and also an Rc30 why didn’t I?

Farmhouse with 11 acres.... £90k 2004. A rolling block 577 Snider, pristine £600.
And the biggest downer was not buying a charcoal drawing of a cape buffalo off David Shepherd.

Hmm. Lots of demons there. In the early eighties there was a TVR Grantura. £250. I thought I couldn't afford the insurance. Same with a Daimler Dart SP250. Also £250. Then there was the Z1000 I had in Florida. Why didn't I just ship it back with me?? Latest mishap is the GSXR750 slabby. Went for just over a grand. Why didn't I bid on it dammit?
Ah well, je ne regrette rien. Eh bien, peut-être un peu.

Plenty, but these are some that really hurt: - D type Jag (in boxes)... £25. It was the 80s and i was skint. - Spitfire in a container, missing only its tail wheel. £100k. It was the 90s and i wasnt skint, but I didnt have that kind of money.

A house close to my mams house years ago that sold for 18k. You wouldn’t buy the front door for that now RC45 for 10k.

An OW01, I bought a YZF750 instead, it was newer, I thought I needed the pillion seat and it would be a better road bike.

when I ran an antiques stall back in the mid 90's I had agreed to go halves with another dealer on a container full of North & South American art and curio's. Had to back out when the wife (now ex) went nuclear about the £5k I was going to spend. The other dealer bought it by himself and made a near £100k profit over the summer season.

There’s the thread about stuff regret selling, and this about things didn’t buy...but my ‘kick myself decisions’ is neither of those. It’s buying stuff I shouldn’t have done!

Brand new Gsxr1100 L. Me and my best mate both had a test ride at Shitty City in Bedfont, and were gonna order together to get consecutive number plates. Fate stepped in though - he bought the bike, I bought a house !! Dusty

Harada rep Aprilia RS250. Immaculate, with less than 1000 miles on the clock. It was £2k but I decided to put the money into buying an Evo 4RS instead. Loved that car, but ended up swapping it for a Fiat Multipla as a more sensible family car. Expensive mistake.
