Usually if your careful removing the cable you only have to move the spring out a little and it doesn’t unravel,but yours has so you need to spin the pulley putting tension on the spring and reinsert it

Thanks Stusco. I followed your advice and managed to fish out the spring tab which I found sitting in the hole were the cable nipple should sit, managed to bring back round to itshole and seat it with a couple of small screwdrivers and will make note to self to be more careful on the install!
