Last thing I need to sort on my 125LC is the rear drum. It pulses the rear brake pedal quite badly, much worse with light pressure applied, so can only assume the drum has become warped some how ?. I don't suppose it can be anything else really ?. Anyone had this problem before, know if it's easy to get it machined out to be round again and anyone who can do it ?. I'd prefer to get it repaired if poss as the wheel is the original and is in quite good unmolested condition. Ta in advance

I had this on an RD200 that when you applied the brake pedal you could actually feel the pedal going up and down. On closer inspection I noticed the drum had a very fine hairline crack in it. Not sure what would have caused it .Tone.

I think what happens is that galvanic corrosion due to the dissimilar metals pushes the liner and the wheel apart. This doesn't happen radially around the drum so it becomes oval.

It is quite common on the older classics to skim drums and fit oversize linings to improve the performance of the brake. I'll have a look in some of the mags I've got and see if i can find a number.
