Hi all, my fork tension / springy-ness is like a bag of spuds. Go down, but need coaxing to spring up again.
Haynes says the RD legs (unlike DT) need removal to change oil, but my forks appear to have drain screws. I expected to see a nut under the dust cap, but just a circular steel washer. I guess once I'm given some guidance how to remove this, It'll be a simple matter if draining each leg, re-filling etc.
Sorry if this is a straight forward process; searched old threads and only found info on type/quantity, which is very useful.
Thanks folks. Chris

I assume your talking about LC forks.
You have to push the cap (what your calling a washer) down, and remove the circlip.
Haynes was probably talking of 1980 LC forks. The later ones had drain screws.

Yes, sorry, it's a 1985 Import 125LC. Brilliant, appreciate your advice, thanks Jon,

Hi Jon, a quick update; the caps were a bit of a bugger to remove, but popped out with a little teasing. As I had taken the wheels off for new tyres, I took the legs out, gave them a good clean, drain inside, cleaned caps and internal part where rusted, fork new oil and so much better!
Cheers, Chris
