You would be forgiven for thinking that was the eighties...
...if it wasn't for the wheelie bins 😂

Think that's the first time in about 10 years I've seen a jellymould CBR600 that wasn't a total wreck! Beautiful condition the pair of them.

The Jelly is my mates, he had the same colour bought brand new back in the day, he picked up this one for peanuts and restored it, it still needs a few plastic repairs and final paint to make it mint but its not bad.. Its surprising that the jelly's are still dirt cheap the not desirable (yet)

Its surprising that the jelly's are still dirt cheap the not desirable (yet) Is it because they are so boring? They sold in big numbers, but popular bikes in the day don't make popular classics. Look at Wet Dreams

I've got a Jelly, lovely little bike to ride tbh. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet but as I only paid £50 for it as a non runner (blown fuse) I've got some leeway.

I always preferred the red/white/blue color scheme over the more popular yellow/black.

Cracking, they are excellent bikes. I absolutely loved my CBR600, did many miles on this back in 1989, this pic was taken at Chelsea Bridge. my fiend had an RD500 at the time, which was always breaking down, the CBR was quicker, better handling...just everything was better about it...Who would have thought some 30+ years later an RD500 would be so desirable and a CBR600 not worth much at all in comparison. My Mrs has a 2001 model , we've had it maybe 5 years, cost £1500 back and its superb, great fun to ride, from Cadwell to a commute into London.
