Yeah... nah I didnt see this myself, I read it on Fb. (honest!) The Aussie Fbers were all over this yesterday, apparently one of the characters has got one to rebuild on the show. IMHO a weird thing to pick, but I guess the production company figured better to get something worth money than some clunker perhaps lol. (anyone remember Kylie (charlene?) rebuilding a mini on neighbours... no, me neither... Pics from a fber who posted em:   |

Ok, spoke to my brother in law who watches this drivel, ahem, i mean Quality show now that it has an LC in it. he said:
"Yeah, the kiwis on the show have given one to one of the brothers to do a re build after he got outa hospital"
So there ya go... a rebuild in the offing. What could go wrong? what story lines could they spin?
1 - he'll go bust ordering parts?
2 - the show grinds to a halt while he waits for parts to get to Aus?
3 - he builds it and it seizes, putting him back in hospital?

Your 1st instalment. I asked my mum to keep an eye out for the arrival of a bike like the one I have in the shed, today Channel 5 at 6:00 to 6:30, the bike arrives as a prezy for one of them and his whatever to help do it up while one of them recovers from whatever, the bike arrives about 5 to 10 mins before end Today, that's all I know for now. Look in tomorrow for the next thrilling instalment |

You are going to love this, I just watched it (the last 10 mins) it would seam that the guy the bike was bought for is struggling for money, so they bought this LC for him to do up and maybe make some money on, or that's how I am reading it.

haha, superb! Loving the updates.  Wow... im not sure of the messages in this show, but lets see: 1, so when a guy is down on his luck and his last few cents the thing to do is saddle him with the build of a bike that its hard to find parts for locally necessitating him to scour foreign ebay, norbos shop and the new and nos dealers. All of which will cost him an arm and a leg... yeah thanks 'friends'! 2, Can anyone really make money on an LC now with what parts cost...? I'll say an Aussie 'Yeah, nah!' if youre going to do it properly... 2.1, And, if you are just in it for making money you dont buy and fit JLs when you already had ok OEM pipes. 3, Suspend all logic and the space / time continuum: Apparently he gets it built in under 3 weeks?! Post from the UK would take more than 3 weeks... my last yambits order took a month, even FedEx takes almost 2 weeks now. Defo keen to know more about the shows logic behind this, but hey its got us chatting about H&A, so its working I guess. Im wondering if one of the production crew had this bike and the parts and rented it to the show to help pay for the build? |

It was a girls idea to give him something to do, she kept referring to the fact she got it for a steal, but he is worrying about being able to pay the bills, so I put 2 + 2 together and may have made 5.

Guy kicks it over twice and says "its low on compression" the girl says "yes the guy I got it from said it needs pistons rings ect" then they take exhausts off and one says "these are in good condition" the other guy says "we can do better than that" then she says I can get all the bits for trade from her garage, next she pulls up with a car full of bits with some spannies and says I got it all for free.
I had to watch 1/2 hour to see about 2 mins of LC, I do love 2T's but I can 't do that again, over to someone else, I won't be torturing myself like that again.

Never saw one 2-stroke way back when I lived over that way, except a new RMX250 in a shop among 600 diesels. Saw Home and away being filmed a few times, it was all avacado sandwiches and lattes.

PMSL, there are plenty of LCs in Sydney, but perhaps less round Palm Beach where the avocado sarnies are munched and lattes sipped.
Thanks for the update Tony. Obviously whoever wrote this storyline knows that prices are high for these and their parts plus it wouldnt fit for the story for the down-on-his-luck guy if he had to buy spannies etc. but 'for free', er... trust me, not in Sydney lol
