I like that you've kept the history of the race bike. Some obvious modifications such as the YPVS forks and wheels, but what else has been done to it? And where were the race photos taken? Looks like a road course of some sort?

hi mate its a formula 2 tuned motor, straight cut primary gears, swarbrick race pipes, 34mm mikuni carbs powervalve wheels and brakes, cant remember if its a TZ 500 or a RS 500 faring i think its a TZ U seat, its got a cheapo electric speedo/rev counter first picture is Manx GP 1988 i paid £90 6 days before i left for isle of man for a 250lc with a blown motor fitted a PV 350 that i had with the swarbricks fitted a tz 350 fairing & qualified 13th on it (outer main bearing failed in race) if you look tax disc holder is still fitted single disc front drum rear second pic is at scarborough late eighties adie

Brilliant 13th is going some. Single disc (standard caliper) Isle of Man, brave man Shame about the bearing. I can't have had much more time to fit my YPVS motor before we went to Spain on my LC in 1987. I remember having the weekend before to iron out some teething issued though but 6 days before the IOM...gulp.
