Does Minnie Driver drive a Mini?
And do Wigan Wasps have a B team?

I loved my minis, wrote a few off along the way. 1098 was my favourite, the Visard book was the bible.. Had these huge Firestone textile tyres, front end was all lowered, no roll, and stuck to the road, no understeer, you just steered where you wanted to go and not worry about where the back end was. Just one rule ...never get out of the throttle mid corner or you’d be off the road just like that.
A few years ago had a go in one again, track car. Was surprised how small it was, knees virtually either side of the steering wheel , but still big grin factor. Obviously slow by modern standards and really total torture on a motorway, but twisty bit of B road and they were in their element.

whenever I look at the LC water hose between the pump and the head and think what a pain in the arse to get to, always makes me recall the same little bypass hose on a mini that often failed. You had to take the water pump or the head off to change it. Suddenly LC not such a pain! Stupid engines in stupid cars (Although I conceed an original Cooper S makes it more palatable)
