I've started putting together a 4LO chassis that I got in pieces. When I put the swingarm in there is quite a bit of slop from side to side. I've measured between the plates and its 201mm (I think it should be 200) so that seems right.
What I did notice when looking at the parts fiche on CMSNL is that there is another shim that goes under the thrust cover on the right hand side. I don't have that.
My question is does that shim sit between the bush and the thrust cover, or does the bush go through it and the bush sits directly on the thrust cover.
I was also wondering how thick it was as I could easily knock one up.
And is there only one on the right side, that's all it shows on the fiche
Thanks. Sorry if this is a dumb question

Normally only one shim, approx 0.3mm thick if I remember correctly. Goes between bush and thrust cover. Make sure you torque up the swing arm bolt correctly to 65Nm.

Perfect. Thanks for the quick reply Shaun.
I have a bunch of 1/64 shims which I think is 0.3mm so I should be able to find one of those with the right diameter and I'll torque it down. Maybe the plates have sprung out a little.
