i tried to work out how to remove the stator terminal block pins from previous threads but unfortunately the links to the photos and urls are no longer active. I bought an extractor set with dozens of different tools giving me the challenge of finding the right one. I finally managed it, a thin blade down each side of the pin to press in the tang and then push the pin out with a small screw driver.
It’s easy when you know how but unfortunately before I worked it out I managed to break the thin blue neutral switch wire.
The new grommet is in place and the blocks reconnected. My options for the blue wire are to solder it (I can crimp around the insulation to secure it) or to replace the pin. Are replacement pins available? If they are would I be better to replace the pin rather than relying on a solder joint?

Is it the round pins ? If so you can get them but you need a proper crimping tool

Yes. They are round female pins and yes I know I’ll need to get a crimping tool. If one thing is true, if I ever get to the end of this first restoration project I’ll have an enormous pile of extra tools in my shed. That said, I do have a soldering iron!
