I know no-one will have spare stancions laying around. Can anyone point me in the direction of anyone who could fix quite badly pitted ones. TIA

Trent do a search on here about yambits you’ll soon see why they are known as sham bits. I’d rather pick my nose with a red hot poker than give them a penny. Philpots are supposed to be a prettgood option. You’d be better if possible having them rechromed than buying after market.

I've sent two sets of 4L0 and a pair of F2 stantions off to Philpots about 6 weeks ago. He said it would be 6 to 8 weeks then he'll contact me to pay. I'll report back when I receive them. I sent them based on recommendations and he offered me a discount for the three sets.

Wemoto do Tarozzi stanchions for £135 inc vat. Made in Italy.
Philpotts in Luton are great. I called them with a bent H1 500 fork that I bought from ebay, obviously not declared as such.
They straightened it on the spot for me, polished. All done whilst waiting. Can't beat the buzz / smell of a proper engineering shop too.

And I thought I was the only one that likes the sight, sound and smell of a machine shop. Some of them are like time capsules. I'm transported back 40 odd years to being an apprentice sheet metal worker in a mixed engineering workshop.

The smell, noise, haze, distant chatter and the odd dirty magazine lying around. Love it.
