Hi Any of you clever people know if there's a way (or a tester you can buy) to check petrol for oil quantity? Basically have a can of fuel and not sure if its mixed with oil or not, or what the mix is if so... ok I can just use it in my mower but just curious. Cheers Dale

Petrol will be off anyway if it's been sat a while. As above use in mower or dispose would be my suggestion I wouldn't put in a bike if yr not sure.

Lol, I have about 20ltrs of old fuel that my mower has to get through Put it in your car. I have 4 bikes of possible during winter full off petrol. In spring I mix it with fresh petrol during tanking my car during daily drives not stressing the engine that much. Engine management will solve it Never had a problem.

You can mix the fuel, then put a sample of the fuel in a clear glass and you will see the colour of the oil if there is any in it. You could do a second sample of pure petrol as a comparison.

Remove the oil pump and run bike on the questionable fuel. Rev the nuts off it and if it seizes, its just petrol, if it does not, its premix. Or you could just let it evaporate outside safely.
