I wouldn't risk them on my bikes.

Me neither.
Some people report good results with cheap copy carbs, others slate them. Eg OKO keihin copies.
Just wondering.

I got some knock off PWK 30mm powerjet carbs on my LC, I changed the jets for gen ones, also needle valves, as they were dodgy, the coating on the tip was poor, no leaks, started up and running, got to make sure I have jetting correct, but so far a thumbs up. I did do a massive search when looking, there are many that look poor casting, I looked until I found some that had a make on them, they were a tad more expensive £52 for the pair, but I felt get some that someone is happy to put a make on, ZSDTRP is the make on them.

My Austrian LC came with a pair of unmarked Mikuni copy carbs on it, it did start and tick over with them but when revved felt very rough/lumpy, I stuck a good pair of 31K carbs on it and the difference was instantly night and day. Maybe with jetting and swapping bits about they could of been better but not for me I’m afraid.. sold em for £30 ..

How did you change the floath needle valves? I drilled the needle valve seating bigger of my pwk30 and placed longer needles. Did you managed to get the brass seating out?

Didn't see any need to change the seat, the new needle fitted it fine, and as said, no fuel leaks, just bought needles of the same diameter, but were a little longer, that difference was taken up in adjustment of float height.

Without the drilled floath valves power stopped at 8krpm. At the mo i try to do the jetting. With a powerjet it is new to me. From 3/4 to 4/4 throttle it is still to rich. Running an empty airbox. 35pilot and 135 main jet. What is your set up?

Its early days with mine yet, they came with 3 sets of jets, 115 120 125 main, 38 39 41 pilot, I chose a genuine 120 main and 38 pilot, my bike is a 250 lc, ram air filters (long ones), YPVS manifolds, modified reeds as per Ed erlenbachracing, with bridge removed, single carbon reeds 0.40, I have also put on 2 RD125LC boost bottles (patent pending ) instead of the crossover pipe, early Microns and runs pre-mix fuel. Put them on bike and started 2nd kick, same as standard carbs did, ticked over nice, revved nice and crisp, took it down my back lane, I was mighty impressed, picked up really quick, seat of the pants dyno said great, yet to be tested on open road, seams like I am not that far off though. Please let me know your setup and how you progress with it. I know of a few now that have used cheap Chinese carbs with good results, after all its only a fuel metering device, most negative comments do seam to come under jets and leaking needle valves, change them and they seam OK.

Another thing I just remembered that I read, these powerjet carbs are new to me too, but it said where the powerjet exits in the venturi makes a difference to where it works in the throttle position, that's something to bear in mind, I can't find it now, but I think it was if it comes out in the middle the jet works in the middle, if it comes out close to top then it will work at top, and so on, mine come out at the top.
I am new to powerjet carbs too, learning curve to go on.

I cant find a number on the powerjets. It is probably 30. May be mainjet 30 down? I go step by step. Next from 135 to 130 and the needle one up. These were 13€ each.

And i added velocity stacks. Because oem rubbers were restricting.
