Morning All. I need to do a fork seal. The manual states it should have 10W/30 SE Engine oil. Does anyone know what the equivalent viscosity is in fork oil weight? Thanks.

I think most old bike manuals suggest oils in that format. SE doesn't exist anymore having moved on. You could look at dedicated fork oils in the 10w or 15w range, there are others and some go as far as mixing them for 12.5w etc. The 15w will be a little firmer than the 10w so I think it depends on what kind of ride you prefer. Motul offer 10w at medium and 15w at medium heavy. I used the 15w in my X7 last and find it perfect. My manual suggested 10/20 but after a chat with Opie, I settled on the 15w. They said fork oils are not that easy to compare against those older style figures but 10w and 15w are a good starting point. I think a few on here use the 10w from what I remember seeing. www.opieoils.co.uk/c-777-motorcycle-fork-oil.aspx

Mobil 1 Synth ATF... Not a typo. Don't laugh, just try it. You will be hard pressed to source a more capable Fork oil

Worked a charm and I could also top up the auto box on my old Audi 200 with it as well 👍

Me too and have been for years. Every time I change a front tyre I replace the fork oil too.
