After many months of looking for the 'right' LC (I know, I know, I'm picky) missing out on a couple of likely ones on eBay and elsewhere, then finding what I was after right here on the forum, she has finally been delivered, cheers Mike 👍 hope you got back ok. I'm a very happy bunny 🐰 and hearing that lovely crackle from the exhaust brought back lots of great memories. Just need to get the (final) MoT and I will be out there. IMG_20210227_112406[1]Hopefully the picture will show up, my first foray into Flickr! No worries bud, bike looks great enjoy be out on here today ah 👍

glad it got to you ok, that bike is a great bike, goes well too ! Paul my mate who sold you it is very fussy with his bikes, you could eat your dinner off it, all his bikes are like that, if it ever needed it, it got it, and he kept all of his old parts which I know he sent you, although old to him, some of those bits are quiet valuable as I told him, but he said they belong to the bike, so a brucy bonus for you. I've seen a similar bike on fleabay at the moment, ok its matching numbers, but other than that I'd put his bike on par with it condition wise, and his was half the price (with known history), personally I think you got a bargain, I could have bought it off him for a fair bit less, but as I said to him, all I'd do is flip it, so I said I'd sell it for him as he isn't up on computers and stuff, he's a brilliant bricky, but shite at technology ! Enjoy your first ride, you'll be grinning for hours afterwards !

I was told yesterday that it came with a spare centre stand, now that's what I call a Brucy bonus.

Enjoy your first ride, you'll be grinning for hours afterwards ! Yes thanks, all arrived ship shape and Bristol fashion. I could tell your mate took great care with his bikes and if the LC is anything to go by, the F2 he has for sale should be a peach for someone. Knowing the LC had been prepped and worked on by a trusted guy like yourself, was my 'brucie bonus' lol That was ideally what I was looking for, a well cared for, standard looking LC, from someone who was also an enthusiast. The box of spares was a bonus, but no plans to shove stuff on eBay, that's not the point. Nice to hear your thoughts on Paul's old LC and those currently hitting bonkers prices online, though I bought this to ride as well as enjoying keeping it looking good. I shall be booking it in for an MoT next week and then enjoying a ride out on the local lanes.

Looks like a nice bike and a great buy. Hope you get to enjoy it this summer. Yes, it was a good deal, I jumped on it as soon as Dave put the ad up. A lucky and happy LC owner here. That's the plan, as a couple of my mates have also gone back to strokers. I predict a 'cloudy' summer.

Booked Elsie in for the last MoT at my local dealer, who does my other bike, and when I told him it was an LC we got chatting about them and he told me of a dealer he knows in the Midlands, who buys new Yams up and keeps them, they sold the LC they had a few years back, straight out of the crate, with 3 miles on the clock and Japanese air in the tyres! They got £12k for it apparently. I bet they'd get way more than that these days.
