I first watched from the verandah in 1991. X4 right handers to the racers and 120+ I believe. Shame it’s pretty much inaccessible nowadays.

I love going to the TT & the Classic TT/Manx Its a shame that some of the great spectating places are now restricted areas, and some for a very good reason. However one or two are deemed safe, its probably because it generates £££ just like "Conker Fields", its an accident just waiting to happen (I hope it never happens!) The spectators wouldnt stand a chance.

looking back towards Ramsey. Note that you can see the heights in Scotland in the horizon.

I think both the events will survive, albeit without its elder statesmen. Shame. Not what they needed or wanted in the twilight of their competitive careers.
It needs an entry of new young blood, and it doesn't help with the situation with Irish racing... even before covid...
There is nothing like it...anywhere, in my mind it is THE motorsport event.
