Looks brilliant Andy Garry is a brilliant craftsman. There is a lot of very trick bikes and parts he has done in the past which I didn't realise he had a hand in. I guess you are leaving it in the satin finish ? If so, I really like it Dusty

Jon Depends on the process really You see some that is clear and some that is deffo Matt silver Think it depends on the current and thickness off the anodising I'll see if I can get pics Steve

It’s in the surface preparation. They both use clear anodising solution to actually form the layer. Trust me I’ve done it. rdlccrazy.proboards.com/post/345882/thread about half way down. Never seen silver anodising solution, but stand to be corrected. The dyes are just powders which mix up to liquid to dye the part after its anodised, and the sealed. If you want it silver you just anodise it without dying it. Jon

Ive got one of Jon's piece's of work and it's very good. Hi Tony, glad your pleased with it. It’s actually on topic as I made a few billet clutch centre covers. They were black anodised, but I experimented with finish. 1 was polished then dyed, one was left bright but with machining marks and one was left in lye for over the time needed to degrease it and gave it a Matt to satin finish (the one Tony chose]. When I eventually get time (re-doing kitchen) and the weather is warmer I will venture into the garages and have a go at a red scotchbrited surface to see what’s possible. Jon
