Just finished this one, Very low mile bike, The turbo unit was missing when I bought it, PO had a leak in the oil line 22 years ago and removed the turbo unit and sent it out for repair and forgot about it, Sat in the garage by a window which completely faded the paint, I picked up a fully rebuilt and modded turbo for more boost from Charlie @ Evergreen Turbo in FL, Top guy, a genius with any turbo unit, Removed the airfilter and pipes and replaced it with a KN filter direct on the turbo. Repainted by my guy, Took 4 months as hes seriously backed up, But turned out beautiful, Stripped the wheels and cleaned them back to original, now that was a lot of hours, All new bearings in the wheels, all suspension bearings and head race bearings.I fitted a new oil pump and relief valve, modded the sump for more oil flow to the turbo, New clutch metals and fibers and fitted a Magura Hydraulic clutch as the OEM is a beast to pull, Valves all checked and adjusted, Fuel system completely stripped and cleaned and the tank was a rust hell mess!!!! Lots of other small niggly things, replaced most of the nuts/bolts as they were all rusted out. Brakes were completely stripped and new seals and pistons and pads, New Venhill brake lines also, Dot5 fluid and all good... Sounds great

Gorgeous owned a non turbo 750 that I had painted the same nearest I ever came to owning one, rode one though like a 750 two stroke to a 19 year old nearly crashed into the back of a bus. Fabulous bike π

Gorgeous
Only just won the battle not to buy a modified one earlier in the year
Later ZX USD front and rear ends
Had one from about 92 - 97
Performance way ahead of handling/tyres/brakes
Even with just 10 psi of boost it would pull past 150 easily

The 750 turbo is the bike I've always wanted after the Darth Vader 900. This thread and Robs thread keeps putting bad thoughts in my head.
GPZ 900r with turbo but must have that metal strip for the nod.
Dream on Tony

Clocked up a couple hundred miles on her and shes a blast, The upgraded Turbo charger really brings her to life!!! The 3rd gear on boost is absolutely fantastic and a big pop from the wastgate when she lets off Damn bike...

Wanted one of these so badly when they came out, I could only dream on my 100cc Honda at the time!
Would it shatter the dream if I was to ride one now?

Damn that's sweet, the Kwak Turbo is the only bike I would consider chucking my hybrid in against at the drop of a hat. Test rode the original, always wanted one. Great work man.

Sheβs an absolute great bike. Clocked up quite a few miles on it. So bloody nice to fire up and just plonk around on. π
