I've just got a ratty 250/350LC running, but the wiring loom is really showing its age in many ways. I'm a Pom in South Australia, most LC's here are 250's so finding this one, originally a 250 but with a 350 motor in it, was a bit of a find. The bike was in a sorry state and needed frame straightening and all sorts of things fixing up, and even after all that it still isn't pretty, but it does run and is just about ready to go to the government yard for an inspection and new registration plate.
BUT, the wiring loom is hanging together by simple force of habit. It's in a sorry and corroded state.
Would like to replace the loom in one hit. I do have a NOS LC loom but I have most of another 350LC in piles of parts, which also has a rooted loom in need of replacement. Jon W noted on our Aussie "2strokesdownunder"site that LC looms have gone up in value, and I now see repro looms are apparently following them up.
My initial questions are: 1) Any suggestions on good suppliers of good replacement repro looms? 2) Expected price ranges? 3) is there any list of the original connectors and supplier(s) so that I can repair or partially reproduce LC looms? 4) would it be worth selling the NOS loom to fund a pair of replacement reproduction looms?

Kojaycat does a bundle of connectors for different bikes including LC's along with wire and tools, If you are a member of the LC club, someone there is making looms for about £250 or there abouts

Thanks for that, I’ll look into it. Got the bike properly together yesterday, it’s on the verge of being able to get inspected, but for example the fusebox clips are especially “loose” and fragile. Anyone got any tips regards replacing fuseboxes or fusebox clips? Seems like a good prospect for 3D printing for the box itself.

Alan is already looking at 3D printing fuse boxes with modern internals in the meantime you can but a replacement from yambits / ebay that looks the same as OEM with old style innards. Off set the joins when you solder it in, get the length right. My 51L build had one added that was waaaay to loooong.

I think the fuse terminal/clips are available from Yamaha. Not listed on LC parts catalogue.
Ask OEB for the part number... :-)
