IMG_0134 (1) by PETER TODD, on Flickr Its been a while since the bike was built and was sold to a gentleman down south somewhere and has been through a few mods since then to stop the pipes grounding out. Originally a 250 but I managed to find a decent 350 motor which "uncle mick" abbey tuned and got it going well. Ram well on the road but only for a while as it soon gave wrist ache. Sounded superb and easy to work on. another one I should have kept?? ...maybe

Ive retired (again) Pete, well when I say retired I have given up going to regular work and I have bought a wreck of a house and I figure thats at least the next 6 months of my life spoken for - probably more. Dont think Im selling this one though - its 5 miles from Cadwell I looked at facetubes and I figure I am either missing something or just too old for it as it seems utter pants to me

Nice bike Peter I remember seeing it in Ps mag when you did the build off with Mutts and a couple of other guys. I'm doing one along the same lines. I love the tank/seat combos of these old race Td/Tz gear Dusty

Good times indeed Pete Did your lad ever get anywhere with the 400 ?? Hi Pete, It's like the high tide mark on here, all the flotsam and jetsam are washing up The 400 is sat on the bench. I've done a bit to it. Stripped stuff off, cleaned plated and put back on. He's not overly interested in it and is more into the mountain biking at the moment. Missing all the trackdays this year hasn't helped. It re-charges the interest I find. Mine took a battering last year when I found that falling off at the slowest corner is still giving me grief a year later. I guess I'm going to have to accept that you really don't bounce as well in your late 50's as you do at 19. I slammed my LC into the side of a car at 40mph when I was 20 and walked away with a couple of broken finger nails. My mate on the back wasn't so lucky but we'll not talk about that Iv'e meanwhile found a new enthusiasm for my LC's and I've been spending a bit of time most nights in the garage looking in stack and store boxes and finding bit's I couldn't remember having. Watch this space and I might have 1, 2 or even 3 LC's up and running for summer! We all need to get back to the Club house at Cadwell, get stinking drunk, talk for hours about bikes and go back to the tent to listen to Gary J's music. O.K. maybe not that last bit. TZ all done? I guess my crash has put me out of contention for a test ride???

nice one steve I did wonder where you and the lad went to as you are normally sat with the stove going outside the tent somewhere.
Tz finished mate and had a wee outing at Blyton month or so ago and realized im way too big for it so may be going off to pastures new in exchange for something interesting but more on that another day if it happens.
Gary J is always the hostess lol

Gary J is always the hostess lol I've been really busy at work all year and what was going on or not at cadwell sort of past me by with all the other rubbish happening thrown in. A couple of weekends at cadwell is what I look forward to most in the year. Even not riding is still great. How's the old man? Still got the blue SRAD? Shame about the TZ Pete. You're not that big surely? They are going for big money though. I was a bit upset that my mate sold his RS125 before I got to have a go on it. He's ridden a lot of bikes and did the MRO series on a open class RGV and a GSXR600. He rates the little Honda as the best handling bike he every rode. Then he goes and floggs it!
