im now running the new jim lomas pipe, with polished stainless end can, brought from ebay new at £189, i was using an allspeed exhaust, but have found the jim lomas to be much better, seems to be much more responsive on the throttle, and revs much better, also not getting the flatspots that i use to, im running a rd125lc mk1 2mm o/s piston flatned and polished piston crown, exhaust port and combustion chamber. slightly opened up transfer ports and knife edged. 230 main jet 8mm reed spacer spacer washers on clutch to stop clutch slip. k&n filter, but now been removed, found it runs better without it. jim lomas exhaust oil pump removed, 50.1 premix in tank also soon to be fitting a 28mm flat slide carb.

the pipe comes as bare mild steel, apart from the end can which is stainless. as ive only just got the exhaust it's still bare metal, im thinking of chroming it, but a friend of mine has told me about a ceramic coating which can be applied to exhaust's. so im thinking of looking into it as its last longer than chrome. website that im looking at that does the coating is called aerocoat. a local company fairly close to me. www.aerocoat.net/have a look at the website i have put the link in above. the bike is fairly peaky, a lot better than the old allspeed exhaust i get good throttle response through all gears and in the low rev range, where as with the allspeed it was horrible. hope this helps cheers.

For a standard set up on a 125lc if not using the standard pipe, use a allspeed or micron pipe, these pipes suite the standard ish setup best. Never had a problem with allspeed's myself, excellent allround road pipes.
