As title, I ain't got a clue How do you tell the difference between early and late LC brake calipers? Steve OEB Don't know if you have sussed it yet or not, if you look at left caliper (nerwer one) you can see the groove goes past the bracket part, on the older 1 it goes it doesn't go so far, then there is the O part on the side of caliper, the early ones have a slightly larger O that goes closer to the edge, the newer caliper has a slightly smaller O and is further in giving a larger area after the O, then there is the bracket that holds to the forks, newer ones have an extra part that the disc goes through, the older type don't have that extra bit, the newer type is wider than the older type too, hope that makes sense to you.

Looking at the pics, am I right in thinking older had a spring fitted between halves and newer didn't? I thought it was the other way round.
