Hi all
I have later 4lo barrels and allspeed exhausts. I have always used the fibre type washers but never really been happy with them. Just wandering what others have used. Have seen the copper type but not sure if these are ok with the allspeeds?

One note of caution, be wary of overtightening the exhaust studs. They are now getting on a bit and itโs common for the ally to give up. I know from experience ๐

Cheers mate haven't thought about that.
Always seems a faf to get the fibre ones to crush evenly which usually ends up with one side or other over tightened to compensate.

You can seal them in with Flu Sealant from Screwfix. Leave to go off overnight once all bolted up.

I used sealant where the pipes slide into / over the adaptor part that bolts to barrel when I built it last time. When I took engine out this time I can see the adaptor parts aren't sitting square even tho I spent time trying to get them so last time. Am thinking the fibre type washers maybe don't squash squarely.
