The needle keeps sticking, but if you tap the glass it will drop back ! The gauge works fine apart from this !
Tried grounding it a few times to swing the needle to try and loosen it up which worked to a certain degree but is there anything I can do to fix it

Only way is to open it up
3 things it can be
1-the needle is rubbing, bend it to clear
2-it needs oiled, carefully oil it
3-the damping mechanism is knackered, new temp gauge please 🙁

gub the internals and fit a small digital temp gauge, theres a write up on here somwhere how someone did it to a set of 4l0 clocks, ive just done a ypvs one, which was easier,as the temp gauge aint in the tacho,of course im not too bothered about originality ,but what i did want was an accurate measurement of my temp
