My guess is like with the LC clocks, it's just a case of prising that black ring off first, trying to get a section of that 'lip' to stand proud basically.
I'd like to see the equipment used to assemble that, anyone even tried to make a press/die to aid in doing that??

It's all plastics unlike LC clocks which have a metal bezel & are rolled over the edge with a press in manufacture I assume. This is probably US welded I'd guess and is the only join in the whole thing (apart from the face to bezel.

I'm going to have to try to work a knife or similar into the bezel/case join. Either that or cut the body.
Still available new from Aprilia if all else fails...

Could you not just take the lip of it and glue it back one you have done your surgery?

Trying to open it up just deforms and breaks the plastic.. New one it is then!
