What intervals should the top end be checked rd 250 lc 44000 Km aprox 27000 miles runs perfect sounds sweet . Dosent look like any of the head bolts have been touched, main concern is if not checked and then nips up will it cause more damage and cost .

IMO leave it alone. Modern 2 stroke oils don’t require decoking? like past 2 strokes.

Do the rings and piston not need to be checked at a certain mileage?

Hi. I was going on the fact you said it was running and sounding sweet. Sure if it was rattley and noisy it would be wise to have a butchers. If it ain’t broke how ever the saying goes. 👍🏻

Hi John, You could do a compression test to check the condition of your rings and bores etc. A compression tester doesnt cost too much, plenty online and I saw that Halfords has them too when I was in yesterday. Steven.
