Evening all, i have an issue with the left cylinder running considerably richer than the right on my F2, would the choke plunger have anything to do with it? the carbs are set up correctly with the right jets (by dave muttsnuts), i am doing plug chops at about half throttle, i am tempted to drop the needle on the left side but not sure if there's an underlying problem......any ideas?
Cheers

I'm not sure how effective plug chops are at half throttle, usually done on full throttle to check main jetting, so maybe worth checking at full throttle too. someone will hopefully confirm.
I would then be checking the choke link pipe, reed valves and rubbers, and inlet link pipe for leaks if you are still seeing a difference. I assume the plugs are both new and the same type.

...and when you say correctly set up, did you balance the carbs when you fitted, as this can only be done when you fit them to the bike.

Im 99% sure that plug chops are at WOT. Try backing the mixture screw out 1/2 turn and see what happens.

Cheers guys, its into the garage i go and check all the above, remove both carbs and set up from scratch, i would have though that if the link pipe is leaking or i have a air leak then it would run lean? chrisg...i tried backing out the mixture screw and that seemed to smooth out the running but plug colour didnt change. As said next time ill do a plug chop at WOT.
