ok folks just picking your brains..
rebuilt motor LC250. iv a few hundred miles on it. a set of nikon pipes is all iv changed otherwise the bike is how i got it, the snorkel has been removed at some point.
so iv been out plug chopping with two sets of plugs, it has a we dead zone around 5 but not enough to warrant ripping things apart, i can live with that.. needles in the middle clip. standard jets and carbon reeds.
air screws 1.5 turns out
quarter throttle im getting a nice dark brown, half throttle a we bit on the dark side but safe, top end ,a wee bit light on the brown for my liking but not grey or white.
so i thought id try cleaning the filter as it was oiled and i tried it washed and dry, bottom end still the same, midrange a little lighter brown than before but just nice and the top end has richened up? so iv let more air in and the top end jetting has richened up???
so the question really is. letting more air flow through a dry filter richens the main jet readings on the plugs? normal? or am i missing something

Should go the other way if anything. Personally I would oil it again. The oil helps trap muck and dust. Shouldn't be soaked in it though.
