I've placed the item for sale, and if it sells for enough I will probably invest in Norbo's shortening kit, however I've placed a starting price on it that means if it doesn't go up much I can go down the RD125LC route. There was no point putting it at a lower starting point as if it sold at best I would only end up having enough money for a non-standard part, and all the hassle of posting and packaging etc. If there are no bids I will end up keeping it and modifying it accordingly. Once again thanks for the help, I've still got a long way to go with my hybrid, but I'm slowly getting there.

You could see if someone already has a cut one from a 250/350Lc. That person may do a swap with a cash adjustment for your uncut guard, so you both get what you want. And the cheapest way of recessing the rear light will cost you 50p at your local builders merchant; 20161218_155014 by dusty miller, on Flickr 2 "L" brackets cost me 25p each, and you can fix the light exactly where you want it; 20161218_154749 by dusty miller, on Flickr ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I have a couple of cut ones of the LC version listed on my site, sadly postage to the UK would be killer as I bet our parts seem really cheap at the mo; 1, cos the UK parts prices are going thru the roof and 2, cos our AU$ is literally only worth half a quid now, sigh....

Hi Yamman, as I said there is no point putting it at a lower starting point as if it sold at best I would only end up having enough money for a non-standard part, and all the hassle of posting and packaging etc. If there are no bids I will end up keeping it and modifying it accordingly, Dusty's 50p solution has a lot of Merit, Thanks Dusty.

I think he meant the light is too high in Dusty's pic, but with those brackets you could just elongate the holes and drop it down etc.

The 2 "L" brackets I used were sat on top of 2 bits of rubber sheet. I did that to gain a bit of height so the lens sat right under the top edge of the cowl, and to give it some shock absorbtion. The 125 part on Alex's build seems to be tipping the lens backwards at the top ? Might be the camera angle ? Dusty ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I had a look at it today and it is level! However I prefer Dusty's method as the light fits much more flush with the tail piece. Mine fits more like an LC...ie a fair old gap around it!
