Hi gents, Hope everyone's well and keeping safe. I am looking to paint my exhausts but I am struggling to find a satin black VHT paint. I have tried PJ1,Simonmize, Hycote, and 2 other generic brands on test pieces but they all come out matt. I have used Halfords gloss and its a really nice paint on my cylinders but dont want gloss on my exhausts. Any thoughts welcome

Does this dry Satin, as it does say gloss.

VHT engine enamel satin black The pic is it after an hour. It looks quite glossy but dries more satin Steve

I use VHT Satin, but I do often wonder if its made locally... paint seems to be like beer in that often someone local makes it for the brands.

Does this dry Satin, as it does say gloss. It's gloss, however I found it closer to original than the satin finish BBQ which is too dull. It's a soft gloss finish that it doesn't give that hard plastic look that high gloss has.

Thanks for that, I knew where I was with the old PJ1 satin and gloss before the EU F***ed it up. Do we really need protecting from ourselves?

I spray paint outside and then bring inside , where they can dry without getting dust or debris on them.

One thing with VHTis that people will tell you not to use the primer, I never have and things come out fine.
