Hi guys. Any of you chaps know if any different types of yamaha rear master cylinder repair kits fit the A/C one? Or a complete master cylinder that bolts straight on? Cheers guys.

Hi , a mate of mine recently bought one for a 250e . He got it from yambits , sit down i think it was 47.99 . He reminded me i had fitted one 15 years ago when we restored the bike . I dryly said that means the tyres are 15yrs old then and need changing .

You could contact Nick (NSRNICK on the Aircooled Forum, RDBitz if his website is working otherwise eBay) to see if he can sell a rebuild kit.

I used the kit from yambits and the plunger did not fit. I had opened the kit, so was not eligible for a refund. In the end I used the seals and my original plunger and all worked well. Tip; Make sure the little return hole is clear from debris.

My kit was the correct kit, but badly made. I have red some people have removed some material from the OD of the plunger and it fitted ok. It was a bit annoying as the kit isn't cheap

Ok thanks for that. That's the thing aswell crappy pattern parts that are not up to the job then you have to keep buying and buying. If your not fussed about it being standard it should be pretty simple to fab a bracket up to fit hole centres and do something with the plunger.

I bought and fitted a seal repair kit to my master cylinder from Sax-moto. Not cheap at 43 Euros. Fitted easily and works perfectly.
