Damn right, I paid ยฃ30 for the rebuild kits ๐ค Steve ๐ Were these Shyster Keyster carb kits bu any chance. The rebuild kits are the best bit of these carbs lol When I got the carbs they p1ssed fuel so I bought rebuild kits off eBay Yep they p1ssed fuel too. When float height was set at 21mm they overflowed. They needed 25mm to stop it Then I bought cruzin image kits from Japan. These worked I'm now sure the carbs have been altered irreversibly as I've clean ed them to within an inch of their lives and replaced all the jets with genuine It is the only explanation of how they were running pods safely with 1 size down from std main jet I'd never buy keyster due to their reputation Steve

Worth a try I would say before you give up on these, if they stick open or closed or part way, then they will change jetting also.

Good advice ๐ For now I'm done with these carbs The felting I don't have a problem with The issue is due to them being liked and the central push pull mechanism makes them the biggest ball ache to take on and off When they were first fitted the fuel level was so low it was getting fuel starvation when held open on the motorway It was still rich lol Steve

I'm having this same issue with my 350lc, no matter what i do its running so rich its just unbelievebly frustrating, top end is lame power, ok at 6 to 7.5k if i drop fuel levels 5mm below gasket, 31w carbs even dropped jets to 190 still same๐ค plugs are black and sooty looking but not wet and oily, hope you sort yours out ๐

No /poor sparks = sooty plugs..

Got bored waiting for the 250 YPVS carbs to arrive so as I had just stripped and cleaned the 31k carbs for my leftovers build I thought it would be rude not to stick them on ๐
Had a pair of 210 jets so stuck them in and fitted the carbs along with an f1 cable
Would start on choke but revved it's nuts off, revs hung on and then wouldn't idle and boggy off throttle
Pulled them back off, changed from the 350 22.5 pilots up to 25's and fitted 250 air screws
Back on and started and idled straight away
Revs fine when blipping throttle
Took it out for a few miles and seems to be an improvement. A lot cleaner and willing to rev in the midrange and sounds totally different on the power
Now revs hard to 9 then a bit of a stutter. Will go to 9.5 if held
Reckon it's still rich up top but as I'm 3 sizes up on main and running 350 needles it's not surprising
Hopefully get the 250 carbs soon and get this sorted ๐
Steve
