Difference in Idler Gears

Top one has the wider machined face.



Anyone else noticed this? The wider ones seem more rare, or maybe from older Aircooled models??? All teeth are the same, and bush is the same, so maybe just different supplier or batch??

I've seen those type, but I've also seen a 4th one, where the centre isn't relieved as much towards the bush, no idea what it is off mind !
