Mates with no licence or insurance...Dont believe for a minute he didnt know his mate wasnt licenced or insurered.
If he does go after his mate, the truth will come out then I bet.

From the linked article:
He got done for Dangerous Driving amongst some other offences and I got done for letting him drive without insurance. That was two years ago and I thought my insurer was dealing with everything.
So he was taken to court for allowing his friend to ride the bike knowing he had no insurance, yet he says he didn't know that? My guess is that in interview he told the police he knew his mate wasn't insured because he didn't know the consequences of saying that, so having to go to court himself would have been quite a shock but nothing compared to the £187,000 he now owes. Little wonder he now claims to not have known all along.

The unwritten rule when you let a mate ride your bike is if he bins it he pays for it, and vice versa if you ride his. Just because this is a massive claim doesn't change this biker ethic in my opinion.

That's all right saying that but if the accident results in the cops turning up or a bystander getting injured etc, you are both in big trouble.
