Hi there everyone, looking for help/ideas for jetting my rd350lc. Completely rebuilt engine, micron expansion chambers, boost bottle,6mm reed spacers,y-boot with k and n filter.I bought brand new vm26-8074 carburettors.Jetting now is 150 mains,60 pilot. Does not go well, starts first kick on choke, warms up,will not rev hard when accelerating. Looking for any help/ideas for base line jetting.

You've deviated so far from standard, and I cant think of anyone on here running a Y boot with a KN filter who could give you a base line to start with. Best option is getting it on a dyno to accurately set it up, may cost a bit of time and money, but better than guessing and blowing the motor up.

Agree with what is said above. If no Dyno my logic would be to start at other end of scale, large main jet first and work down until you get a decent setting, then play about with pilot jet and air screw etc. This will mean if anything your starting rich and working down the scale, much better than starting far too lean and blowing pistons. Just be patient, it may take a while. I usually make a setting, write it down, then 10 min run, plug check and make notes and score out if 10 as it's easy to forget what you have done especially if it spans over a week or 2!

Is a 60 pilot not maaaassssive?
I'd have thought 30 pilot 360 main was a starting point

These settings are vastly different than your other thread...
Did you even try what was suggested in the other thread??
