It seems when the fuel taps start binding and become almost impossible to turn, is it down to this little cone shaped plastic piece ?
The white one was the one that is the newest Had to take mine out and is scored to f##k This is a genuine tap too
So is the solution to have this piece made from something that is ethanol proof ?
Or can Yamaha or Tourmax who make the good replacements make the part available separately for us to buy ?

Damn, i thought this maybe a link to some cheap blue tablets..but enough about my problems...
About a year ago i replaced a tourmax tap with another one because the lever was getting stiff..now the later one is starting to go the same way... I have another tank with a tourmax tap that has been on for a number or years and it is grand.. So i wondering is there a fine " sediment" in the former tank that is grinding away at that plastic piece..?
I wonder if the chap that makes the ypvs swing arm chain protector could make these up.?

If you have an old tank with fuel in and the tap is ok that would suggest there is no ethanol in it
