Hi all,
I’ve owned a 1979 RD125DX (spoke wheel) for a couple of months now, and have been trying to get it running properly.
To cut a long story short, it has had new points, condenser etc and the carburettors have been off and cleaned properly.
It starts first time, and idles well. In first gear it reaches the power band with no issues at all, just as I’d expect it to.
In second gear however, it barely pulls at all even at full throttle. It is quite confusing especially as first gear is trouble free.
Any suggestions for a diagnosis, and how to resolve?
