I can only think its a mistake as Ive no idea what a 1GM model code is, but 99% sure its not a 500.
From the ad: >Engine No: 1A7-482007 >Frame No: 1GM-000457

Just under 7k already... You could buy a really decent bike for that amount.

If the frame and engine numbers do not match what this bike model is supposedly advertised as ,then I would expect to hear alarm bells all over it.
I am sure Two Wheel Spares or DK or whoever they are calling themselves have previous for this. Were they not trying to sell a green 31k frame a while back with YB 100 numbers on it?
Me personally, I would avoid this like the plague (or Covid-19 to be more up to date) and hope some poor unsuspecting buyer does not get stung here. Call to trading standards would not be out of order methinks.

almost 7.5k now. gained 500 in an hour eek.
Its a total project for sure, but does look pretty complete.
But... if its a ringer, then its going to need another frame at the very least :/

It does say in the listing..... but doesn't mention what they are apart from what you guys have noted.
''We have noticed the engine has a different number to the frame and while the prefixes are unusual they match the log book. The engine turns over nicely off the kick starter''

They are a shop, they know exactly what having the wrong prefixes means. W@nkers.

Doesn’t inspire confidence in them does it. Obviously bought it without knowing about 500’s unfortunately so will the new owner really should be pulled from sale

They replied with the short message that those numbers listed are correct, those are the numbers on the frame and engine.
Having been told there is something wrong, surly they would either pull the listing and do their own checks, or state there might be an issue with the bike.
I'm betting neither though, someone unfortunately is going to have a world of pain if they buy this.

I have told them Outright that they don’t refer to an Rd500 be interesting to see if there is any response. If someone buys it and comes on here at least they can go back and show it was pointed out them. Legally they would then have to refund ignorance in this instance won’t be enough.

Told them its a ringer too ..... I'm betting though it will run and some poor sod will be getting something he's not expecting .
As said its no wonder the trade get a bad rep when firms try to sell blatantly hooky bikes like this, and know full well what they are doing.

Fancy bidding on something that you have not done your homework on... Sort of believe they deserve to be shafted... ALL the info is out there, and it's only seconds away, never been easier to access...

500 was removed from sale as no longer available ... so the auction didn't run its course, wonder if they had a conscious after all and decided it wasn't fit for sale?

Yes just checked and still seems it is up for sale
Without sounding like a dick surly as the frame number is from a UK Rd125lc it should be reported to eBay as not correctly described to maybe save some poor sod from making an expensive mistake or maybe i am just a dick
Best wishes Al
