Hi,
In the workshop manual is says that you should check for signs of wear or galling(?) on the clutch basket and clutch boss. I am in the process of rebuilding my engine and see wear marks where the clutch plates have been rubbing on the clutch basket. It also says that these wear marks can be carefully sanded down. What is the limit before I need to replace the clutch basket and is there anything else I should been aware of?
Cheers.

Drag your fingernail across those 'grooves'. If they snag your nail it would be useful to file them down. Don't go nuts tho..Those grooves are only a problem when they limit the plates' movements in use.
