Finally got the fuel cap of and it worse than i imagined. Did a bit of poking at some lowere parts and near seams and if put a few small holes and pin holes. Not sure if its worth trying to repair and line it. Its a good looking tank apart from the rust ðŸ˜. Maybee some one will have a better one or good guidance for me thx

Change it
Paint is too expensive to ruin if it fails again
When I bought my hybrid donor it held fuel but if left on the side stand it sweated a bit on the left
Took it off and sat it up on its end and left it for 3 months
One day I noticed a 2 inch blister on the front lower edge so poked it with my finger
Went straight through the tank

Pity there isn't a process that can line the inside of the tank to seal it in
Don't think the liquid type sealers would do it
