well it catches ur attention and i have been out in jeans and dare i say,trainers :-Xjust taken bikes for test rides after messin wiv em but like u say it can happen any time so fink i'll be wearing me gear all the time now

Blimey Gaz Give my best to your bro and hope he has a full and speedy recovery! Good thread warning of the dangers mate, I'm certainly no saint when it comes to wearing the right gear but this has made me sit up and think!!

sorry to hear bout your brother same sort of thing happened to my mates leg a few years ago and hes walkin pretty normally now, hope your brothers op goes the same way, i too admin i rarely wear leather pants iv payed the price tho i had a side panel go through my knee on a ts50x because i didnt tighten the chain other than that just grazes but for youngs guys like me it is hard to pay for any leathers or protective clotheing on apprectices wages, it would be nice for the goverment to give a grant for some cheap clotheing at the end of the day they would save a fortune on nhs bills. all the best Tom

Looks like a part time injury to me...............in all seriousness tho looks bloody awfull, the cage makes it look worse but its doing a job. Hope he gets better soon and doesent lose any length in the leg. As for protective gear im guilty for riding in jeans a lot, then again its oly half the risk for me i guess.
