I'm going to use the high flow, single outlet Tz style taps that Norbo sells in his shop - they will be more than enough, bearing in mind they are feeding only 1 carb each Dusty Ok I didn't realize there single outlet !! Might be a game changer then ! That would be perfect π

Thanks bud ,tbh the old gearbox bearings felt fine they were smooth and tight so I nearly left them ! But I thought it would all be new if I replaced them . Mutts sells the rubbers Chris, and Norbo I think. NKRacing usually has the Wiseco rubbers but they are expensive compared to the others. Martin at Madbiker too Dusty

Iβd think carefully about a billet basket now itβs apart. Sure you can dress the notches but the more you do the noisier the. Lunch will be and it will wear quicker.
Another thing of note (although by the looks of the photos, you may already know) is the back plate is hardened an so an HSS countersink probably wonβt touch it. I had to use a countersink grinding stone.

But I get what your saying ,I like to try and fix things if possible , and yes it is hard the back plate ,I'm going to take it to work and have a play with it ! At least if it dose go to pot I can fall back on a new one that option is there !we have lots of gear at work so I'm hoping I can do something ,will see !! π

If it was dropped/damaged after it was adjusted, it may now be out of square, so may need rechecking. I know Paul Needham had one where the crank came back with the end of the thread damaged. He fitted it but had bad vibration, so had to strip engine and take it back to get sorted out.

Dusty hi no i got the crank when I was home from work after 5.30 and there now closed for x mass ,. Nearly Β£400 later I'm peed off ! Don't know if it's ok to fit ,? It's been cleaned up so I'm thinking it's been damaged while being worked on ,but they didn't tell me on the phone when wanting payment π‘

Hi , i can understand you being a bit ticked off, but looking at the damage it looks to me it was done by the tooling that was used to press the big end pin out . I would set the crank up on v blocks and check the run out to see if it is ok . Then i would make sure the primary gear goes on . Oh, and phone the chap up about your concern he may get rid /scrap the particular mandrel used and post you a gizet/free be.

I've not got the gear to check it correctly and if I'm honest I'm not confident enough to do it and be happy ! Surely they wouldn't send it out with a chance of it being out ? ,I will get in contact asap so I can try and move forward with it , I wanted to build the engine today ,thanks
